Accompaniment Policy
Do you need an accompanist? Vocalists and instrumentalists needing piano accompaniment for recitals or other events may book rehearsals with our staff pianist, Corbin Calloway, at https://corbincb.as.me/ and will be charged through Jackrabbit.
Fees vary depending on the amount of rehearsal time needed and length of music being performed. Generally, students performing one piece under 5 minutes in length should schedule a 15 minute rehearsal. Students performing two pieces or a single piece over 5 minutes in length should schedule a 20 minute rehearsal. If a student’s repertoire is exceptionally long or challenging, they may be asked to book two rehearsals to ensure a positive performance experience.
Fees for piano accompaniment are as follows:
- Recital accompaniment + 15 minute rehearsal: $20
- Recital accompaniment + 20 minute rehearsal: $25
Accompaniment for solo recitals and off-site events such as auditions, exams, and competitions is available, dependent on scheduling, and will be priced on a case by case basis.

Teachers or students must drop off a copy of their music at the office or email a digital copy to corbin.c@appletreearts.org when scheduling a rehearsal. Please make sure that all notes are visible and legible on the page and that there are no missing pages. Accompaniment cannot be guaranteed if music is provided less than one week prior to the rehearsal date.
