piano, voice & early childhood

Hello my name is Kilani! I will be working with Kayla Cardin as one of the new early childhood music teachers and I am so excited. I graduated from University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s in Music concentration in voice. When I am not singing or working I am tending to my many plant babies, trying to whittle away at my ever growing book pile, or going on little weekend adventures.

I never thought I would love to teach music until I dabbled in it during the summers of my undergrad working at Camp Woodhaven. Spending a whole summer teaching little kids and seeing them smile and get excited to come to my block brought me such joy and satisfaction. Knowing I planted a seed for the love of music in them made me so happy and I can’t wait to start here and do the same at Apple Tree!
