Theatre Director

Lisa is a theatre director and producer whose life has been shaped by the performing arts from an early age. Actively involved in theatre and music since her youth, she brings a deep, lifelong passion for storytelling, performance, and creative collaboration to her work. With formal vocal training and years of experience both onstage and behind the scenes, she believes in theatre as a powerful space for expression, connection, and growth.

She has directed and produced over 100 theatrical productions across Grades 1–12, including work with Apple Tree Arts, Grafton Middle School, and Grafton High School. Her work spans the full creative process—from auditions and rehearsals to technical production and final performance—guiding young artists in both performance and production while fostering confidence, curiosity, and a strong sense of ensemble.

At the heart of her work is a commitment to creating inclusive, nurturing rehearsal spaces where students feel safe to take risks, find their voice, and discover the joy of collaboration. She values both discipline and play, structure and creativity, and is continually inspired by the transformative impact theatre can have on young artists and their communities.

She has been a dedicated member of the Apple Tree Arts community for over 25 years, playing an integral role in shaping its theatre programming and mentoring generations of young performers.

In addition to her work in theatre, she teaches middle school Spanish in Westborough. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and a Master’s degree from Elms College, bringing both academic rigor and creativity to her teaching and artistic practice.
